New Denture Wearer Package

Save Money on Your First Set of Dentures

Affordable Dentures & Implants wants your transition to dentures to be easy and comfortable.

We understand that this can be a frightening and unsure time and while this transition will have a lasting effect on your life, we hope to make it a positive one.

Our “New Denture Wearer Package” is an all-inclusive program designed to provide first time denture wearers with significant savings as you begin to invest in your first set of dentures.

What Does the New Denture Wearer Package Include?

  • Your first set of temporary (healing) dentures
  • Unlimited adjustments to ensure your dentures are comfortable (up to one year after your final dentures are made)
  • Temporary relines to ensure the best fit possible with your temporary dentures
  • Delivery of your final dentures within six months to one year following your extractions

Healing After Tooth Extractions

For patients who need or have received tooth extractions, the best way to ensure you receive a good fit and best cosmetic result with your first denture is to wait a minimum of six months to make your permanent denture – this time allows your gums to heal and shrink following the extraction.

We understand you may not want to spend six months or more with no teeth – the “New Denture Wearer Package” will provide you with a “healing denture” or temporary denture on the same-day your teeth are extracted.

The Final Step of the New Denture Wearer Package

When the dentist determines the healing of your gums is satisfactory, a new denture impression will be taken and a final denture will be fabricated by your practice’s on-site laboratory to replace the original temporary denture. With the healing complete, you should be well on your way to adjusting to your new denture.

*PLEASE NOTE: Some practices provide only one denture with their New Denture Wearer Package. If your local practice provides one denture, be assured they will provide all other services needed to help you adjust to wearing dentures for the first time and to ensure a good fit. Please contact your local practice for details on their New Denture Wearer Package.

What Should You Expect with Your First Set of Dentures?

Rest assured that properly prescribed dentures will give you a brand new smile that you will feel confident in. However, there can be some awkward and uncomfortable adjustments when you begin to wear your new dentures. It might feel big and bulky in your mouth at first, or you might feel constantly worried that they will fall out.

At Affordable Dentures & Implants, we strive to make sure that each patient gets the best made denture for their specific dental situation. There are always options for each of our patients so that they may receive a new smile that fits as good as it looks.

Some normal problems that people experience with their new dentures are:

Sore Spots - If you are noticing that your gums are having trouble with the new dentures, make sure to remove your dentures at night and rinse your mouth with warm water to soothe the irritation. If these issues persist past 3-4 weeks, you will need to see your dentist to get your dentures adjusted.

Trouble eating and speaking - This will go away, we promise. We generally recommend a 4-6 week adjustment period before considering a new type of denture or new adjustment. If the problem is unbearable, please come into a local denture practice near you to get a reline or adjustment.

Production of Saliva - This is also a completely normal issue to have when you get dentures for the first time. As your mouth shifts and adjusts to your new dentures, this will slow down and become much more manageable.
